The German Villiage bar so nice they named it twice has this awkwardly awesome, 50′ long cage that some have found perfect for Flimsee. Look forward to getting some video from these cage matches. – MASON

Jamboree in the Hills is one of those Ohio summer events that you don’t want to miss.
This country music festival has taken place in Morristown Ohio since 1977 and headlines some incredible artists. Some of the 2011 lineup included The Band Perry, Justin Moore, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Tim Mcgraw, Eric Church, Toby Keith, The Fabulous Bender Boys, Neil Mcoy, and Montgomery Gentry.

We rocked Flimsee in the camp sites and came up with some great backboard rules in a tight tent city.

Columbus adds yet another Beautiful Park, the Scioto Mile

We went down to the grand opening of yet another beautiful park in downtown Columbus, The Scioto Mile.
We literally walked around in amazement and grabbed a quick video with the Flip. It’s pretty inspiring to see Columbus investing in the people, this park is definately going to be a great spot to toss the frisbee. I think Flimsee will have to post up permanently down here.

We personally think that an app for Frisbee throwing, kinda defeats the point of the Frisbee, but hey, it looks super cool. You can choose between tilt or touch controls to navigate a frisbee through multiple goals and rings in a fantasy world that kind of reminded us of Mario Cart. Crank up the AC and start having fun with Frisbee Forever. When you get bored, poke your Flimsee sticks in the ground, put some cups on top, and break loose with some Flimsee Fun. FLIMSEE sets up shop at COMFEST

So there’s a Festival every June in Columbus Ohio called Comfest and it is awesome. Whether your love is music, food, art or people watching this festival has something for everyone . Said to be the largest non-corporate festival in the country, Comfest attracts a wide variety of laid back people and fills up about 30 acres of green space with blankets, vendors booths, and multiple live stages.

The Flimsee Team was extremely happy to be part of the action this year, setting up shop on the interior of the park from Friday to Sunday. We are grateful for the organizers as they put us in an ideal location and provided a great space to engage some new fans and show people all that Flimsee has to offer.

Trophy Thursday’s at the Columbus Commons

Have you heard of Trophy Thursdays?

Come check out all three Thursday nights down at the ole City Center property. You can hang out with the crew that now occupies the Wonder Bread Factory and play some classic yard games, like Flimsee, in a super nice downtown park. Tonight though, the outdoor game of choice is one of our all times favorites…. Whiffle Ball.

Here’s a clip from NBC4 about the opening. This was an incredible move by the City of Columbus and I believe the people and business that it will bring downtown will prove to be a great investment.
